37 “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing. 38 Look, your house is left to you desolate. 39 For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.’
Ingredients:
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 large red onion diced
1/4 cup pureed fresh ginger+garlic in equal volumes (a.k.a ginger-garlic paste)
2 tsp salt
1 tsp turmeric spice
3 lbs raw chicken breast (boneless and skinless) cut into pieces
2 roma tomatoes diced
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
2 jalapenos peppers sliced
Directions:
1. fry the onion, ginger-garlic, salt,and turmeric in the olive oil under medium high heat until onions are translucent
2. cut and mix in the chicken
3. leave the chicken on the pan uncovered; meanwhile cut the tomatoes, cilantro, and jalapenos
4. add these vegetables and 1/2 cup water and bring to a boil
5. cover lid, reduce heat to medium low, and simmer for ~30 minutes
Good served with whole wheat flat bread and a vegetable (growing up Anand and I ate this meal with a large glass of milk almost every weekday after school for dinner)
