Lemonade

¹² I write to you, dear children,
   because your sins have been forgiven on account of his name.

Ingredients:
juice from 1/2 lemon or lime (squeezed by hand or with metal juicer)
1 tbsp honey, maple syrup, or evaporated cane juice or 1 serving of stevia/truvia
8 oz water

Directions:
stir all ingredients in a glass

if using honey, dissolve the honey in 2 tbsp hot water prior to adding to your glass

South Indian Chai for Two

⁸ Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,

Ingredients:
1 cup water
2 tsp black tea (loose leaf)
ground seeds of two cardamom pods
1 slice of ginger
1 cup milk
2 tbsp honey (adjust according to your taste)







Directions:
1. bring water to boil in a tea pan
2. add tea, cardamom, and ginger
3. boil for 1 minute
4. add milk
5. bring to a boil (remove immediately to avoid overflowing of tea pan)
6. add honey
7. pour into two mugs 

Almond Milk

Ingredients:
1 cup raw almonds
6 cups water
6 Calcium tablets (300 mg/tablet)
1 tsp vanilla (optional)
dates, honey, stevia (optional)

Directions:
1. Blanch the almonds by boiling them for a few minutes until skins are loosened

2. drain water and wait for almonds to cool, remove skins

3. add almonds, water, calcium, and optional ingredients (if you are using them) to a blender and blend for ~60 seconds
4. strain and keep the almond pulp for other recipes such as Cardamom Almond Candy

Cucumber Juice

Ingredients:
1/3 large cucumber slices
1 cup water
5 medium sized ice cubes
2 tsp honey (or 1 stevia serving)
1 tsp lemon/lime juice (optional)

Directions:
1. Blend together in a blender
2. strain if desired
